Susanna Jones, Head of School, Holton-Arms School One Schoolhouse offers students the opportunity to take courses in an online environment that embodies the best of independent school education – high academic standards, excellent teaching, and strong relationships where students are known by their teachers – with the pedagogical innovation, particularly in the realm of personalized learning, the digital world allows. Likewise, One Schoolhouse offers outstanding professional development for adult learners. Few organizations remain so fully committed to excellence while also staying abreast of the most current research and trends in education, and in this One Schoolhouse provides an invaluable service to independent education.
One Schoolhouse is a dynamic and thoughtful learning community comprised of approximately one hundred schools from around North America. Members of the community believe that online education presents incredible opportunities to expand programs and offerings for students and faculty alike. One Schoolhouse connects both students and schools; teachers and administrators in the consortium also have opportunities to interact and collaborate with one another.

Advantages of Joining the Consortium
Partnership with One Schoolhouse: The courses and programs offered by One Schoolhouse are determined by the needs of the schools in our consortium. We poll schools twice a year on course needs, and we stay in close contact with contacts at the school throughout the year in order to understand what programs schools need us to build.
Discount on Courses: Consortium schools receive at least a 10% discount on student and faculty courses
Engagement in Educational Innovation: Each consortium school appoints one of their community members to the One Schoolhouse Advisory Council. The Advisory Council meets twice annually online in order to learn about advancements in the fields of online and personalized learning, and to engage in discussion. Moreover, One Schoolhouse often runs consortium specific programs, such as in-person ThinkTanks in "Financial Sustainability an Online & Blended Learning" and "Middle Schools and Online & Blended Learning."
