One Schoolhouse is designed to be a partner in innovation for independent schools. Most students come from face-to-face schools in order to help schools expand opportunities for students on campus. We know that for many of our students this is their first online course, so we partner with schools to provide ongoing support.

Course Enrollment Policies |
Available courses for the summer, fall, and spring semesters are published on the School’s website before classes begin for those courses. Once available courses are published, students may begin registering immediately. One Schoolhouse encourages students to register in courses as early as possible in order to facilitate the School’s ability to make staffing decisions, students may register in courses within ten business days of the start date of each school-year course and within five business days of the start date of summer courses. See the Calendar for specific dates and times.
Summer Course Registration: Students can be registered by their families or schools for summer courses. School Year Registration: Students are almost always registered by their primary enrollment school. Tuition for school-year courses must be paid by the school that enrolls the student in their primary school program. Schools may pass some or all of this cost along to enrolled families, but schools will be responsible for payment of tuition prior to the start of classes for their students. Schools may not charge any person more for any One Schoolhouse course than the stated tuition rate that the school pays—that is, they may not “upcharge” families for online courses through One Schoolhouse. By registering a student for a One Schoolhouse course, consortium schools certify the student has completed all pre-requisite courses, has received the necessary approval from their primary school, and is otherwise academically eligible to take the course. One Schoolhouse enrolls students at consortium schools with the permission of the primary school. Granting permission for enrollment obligates a consortium school to supervise the student through the One Schoolhouse Advisor. Students may be registered by non-consortium schools or families not enrolled in consortium schools. Students who register for One Schoolhouse courses from non-consortium schools/families may be asked for further verification of eligibility prior to enrollment in courses, including: identity, proof of completion of pre-requisites, transcripts, recommendation, or other information. |
Tuition Policies |
Tuition rates for each school year will be published on the One Schoolhouse website. One Schoolhouse establishes separate tuition rates for consortium and non-consortium school students, as well as separate rates for its professional development programs.
Tuition rates for consortium schools for students and faculty members in all One Schoolhouse courses (student courses and professional development programs) are only applicable to current students and faculty members at a consortium school, with the consortium school—and not One Schoolhouse—defining what the terms “student” and “faculty member” mean to that community. All tuition must be paid in full before the first day of classes. In the event that a tuition balance has not been paid, One Schoolhouse reserves the right to hold student access to classes and/or grades until the balance has been paid. Once payment is received, the grade will be released, and the One Schoolhouse advisor, parents, and student will be notified by the One Schoolhouse office. |
