DESCRIPTION
In our first course to help schools prepare for educational continuity in the face of COVID-19, the aim was to help make the speedy transition to distance learning. It is now clear that we should be planning for school to remain closed through the remainder of the year (although hoping that will not be the case for everyone). That is the purpose of this new course. To reach this goal, we'll draw on the expertise of the One Schoolhouse staff and three friends of our program with expertise in their respective areas: Lisa Damour (best selling author, NY Times columnist, and CBS News contributor) on anxiety and screen time, Grace Lee (partner at Venable and legal counsel for NBOA) on regulations and requirements, and Meredith Monk Ford (executive director of FolioCollaborative) on faculty support and evaluation.

- To set expectations for faculty and staff in regards to teaching and learning and working together
- To consider how we can build community at a distance
- To lead and inspire our teams during this worldwide challenge
- To stay well in a time of a health crisis
COURSE FORMAT
Administrators will be guided through a one-week long, online course. This course will take about four hours to complete. This course is run asynchronously, so there is no fixed time when you must participate online, however you must complete coursework within the week.
The course will begin with an introduction to the learning management system. Then, we will be introduced to research and resources on best practices for educational continuity in crisis situations. Throughout the course, participants will connect and collaborate with each other through interactive media, including short videos and discussion boards.
Participants in this course will have access to the resources provided in the corresponding teacher course.

TUITION
Free. Use register link to enroll. Registration is limited to 100 and participants can only register for one of the two Continuity in Crisis - Phase II courses.
The first session of the course, March 30 - April 5, 2020, is limited to One Schoolhouse Consortium Schools only. All future sessions will be open enrollment.
