Introducing One Schoolhouse

The Online School for Girls is a part of One Schoolhouse.  This exciting transition expands opportunities for schools to engage their students and faculty & staff in the work of the consortium.

What does this mean?
  • Continued high quality programming.  Innovative learning environments that connect students, teachers, and schools have always been our trademark, and will continue to be our focus. As has always been the case, schools will be able to choose which programs and courses their schools engage in.  Therefore, if schools only want to offer single-gender courses for their students, they can, and if they want to offer a mix of courses, they can do that, too.
  • Expanded opportunities for students and faculty.  Expansion of Online School for Girls to One Schoolhouse means that schools – and their students and faculty & staff – will have more opportunities to engage through four program segments: Online School for Girls, Online School for Boys, Online Independent School, and Independent School Professional Development.
  • A better partner for your school. By expanding opportunities and offering innovative programming, we become better partners in innovation for independent schools.

Why have we made this change?
Throughout our history, programs and courses have been driven by the needs of our consortium schools. For example, soon after Online School for Girls began, our schools asked for professional development programming for faculty, and we added that programming. More recently, we have heard our single-gender and co-ed consortium schools ask for co-ed courses, and we will now provide that opportunity. One Schoolhouse more broadly communicates who we are and why we exist—to empower learning and to transform education.
