INTRODUCTION TO THE RESLIFE WORLD AT BOARDING SCHOOL

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Especially designed for residential life faculty and staff new to boarding school. Through research, best practices and case studies, this course will offer the coaching and mentoring needed to find success on your campus.
  • Participants will connect and collaborate with other new residential life teachers/faculty and learn from panels of experienced school administrators from around the globe.
  • Participants will gain a sharper understanding of what it means to work in a boarding school and will explore best practice and research around residential life.​
COURSE FORMAT
During this program, participants will spend approximately four hours on coursework for each unit and can set their own pace each week.  Coursework and assignments for each unit open on Monday morning, and should be completed by the following Sunday evening. Participants will connect and collaborate with each other through several forms of interactive media, including short videos, and discussion boards. Classes are conducted asynchronously.
MEET THE FACILITATOR
Jackie O'Rourke is an Education Consultant who specializes in training and mentoring teachers, coaches, and new administrators. Jackie is a veteran teacher and administrator, having worked at Tilton Academy, Berkshire School, and King's Academy. 

Her co-facilitator for the course is Brad Rathgeber, Head of School of One Schoolhouse.
TUITION
