DESCRIPTION
Technology coaches, specialists, and integrators have engaged with teachers and students in an increasingly meaningful way for years. This year, technology went from being an important component of the academic program to becoming the backbone of program delivery. This course will provide technology leaders with the opportunity to reflect upon the rapid changes of the last several months that have thrust their work into the spotlight in new ways. Participants will learn strategies for discerning what is essential to program continuity and what needs to be adjusted. The course includes best practices for aligning technology decisions with core curricular outcomes with a look to the future of independent school programming.

Sarah Hanawald -- Sarah serves as One Schoolhouse’s Assistant Head of School for Professional Development and New Programs. She has been a classroom teacher, a technology director, and an academic dean at three North Carolina independent schools. Sarah’s work has focused on the intersection of technology, curriculum, and pedagogy in defining the future of education.

COURSE FORMAT
This is a one-week asynchronous online course that takes approximately 5-6 hours to complete. The course opens on a Monday and concludes on the following Sunday, with access through the following Friday.
