One Schoolhouse honored the four Founding Heads of the Online School for Girls at the Global Forum on Girls' Education in New York City on February 8, 2016: Susanna Jones from the Holton-Arms School, Ann Klotz from the Laurel School, Ann Teaff from Harpeth Hall, and Ann Pollina from Westover School.

During the presentation, One Schoolhouse Executive Director, Brad Rathgeber noted that, "In 2009, online education was still 'on the fringes' of the educational community. And, it was often eschewed by traditional institutions – and particularly eschewed by independent schools. Susanna Jones, Ann Klotz, Ann Pollina, and Ann Teaff thought differently. They saw online education as an opportunity to connect students and educators to each other as never before – creating global classrooms for learning, and allowing schools to offer new programs and classes. They were the four heads of school who got together and agreed to start a new non-profit school: the Online School for Girls."

Even early on, their work was recognized as trailblazing. At the 2010 National Association of Independent Schools conference, Pat Bassset named Susanna, Ann, Ann, and Ann “superheroes” of the independent school community. Today, OSG presented the four Founding Heads with superhero capes to applaud them for being incredible leaders of our community.
