Jeff Shields, President and CEO of the National Business Officer’s Association, has made a strong case for why independent schools need to commit to online learning as part of a long term strategy, and not think of online learning as a “quick fix.” Shields wrote in the latest issue of NBOA’s Net Assets magazine:
“From where I sit, it’s time for independent schools to make a real commitment. Online learning can help us deliver on the promises we’ve always made—and, in many cases, can mitigate financial pressures as well. It’s not a temporary ‘fix,’ it’s part of our future.” Shields further explores this idea and gives examples of independent school engagement in online learning in the article found here: It’s Time to Commit.
