"As Academic Leaders, we're the people who operationalize the strategic plans and the vision from the mission. That is a weighty responsibility." That’s how one attendee at last summer’s Academic Leaders Forum described the role Academic Leaders play in schools. Spring is a hectic time for Academic Leaders–you have one eye on the present life of the school, from celebrations to assessments, and one eye on the big-picture perspectives you know you’ll need to be ready for in just a few months. What’s an Academic Leader to do? Carve out some time for yourself, so that you can be the leader your school needs during summer strategic planning, new faculty onboarding, and the “here before you know it” start of school meetings. Your school has a registration for our Forum included with your Association membership! Who’s registered from your school? We’ve designed the forum to help attendees make time for important reflection about how to stay rooted in the values that drew them to Academic Leadership. The forum is intentionally paced with hands-on learning and interactive time to allow new ideas to percolate. You’ll engage and reflect with peers from around the world who face the same challenges you do. Attendees will learn strategies for effectively sharing professional stories and making positive peer connections. 2023-2024 Association membership includes one full registration to the Forum. Join and secure your school's spot today! Please reach out to Senior Director, Sarah Hanawald with questions.
